Bee Research is a private enterprise primarily involved in fusion energy research. Specifically IEC fusion or Inertial Electrostatic Confinement fusion.
We claim to have invented a new reactor design, which confines the fusion fuel, mainly Deuterium, tritium or Helium-3, electrostatically, in such a way that a self sustained reaction may take place. Initial experimentation looks promising, but more work is needed, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the reactor design. To see the research move forward to the next stage, a small amount of funding will be needed.
So far our research has been at the amateur level, and has been driven by enthusiasm and our own money, but fusion research is not cheap, and funding now remains a problem.
As well as myself, there are a small number of enthusiastic amateur fusioneers around the world, who have been a great inspiration and
assistance to us and our work. The amazing work of these enthusiasts can be found at
www.fusor.net bulletin board.
Scientists, enthusiasts or anyone else interested in this research, may contact us by phone fax or email.
What if it can't be done?
Fusion can be done, in fact endothermic fusion is done every day by scientists around the world, it is just not energy producing. Fortunately there are some very important uses for neutrons, which is the by product of most fusion reactions. Neutrons are used in mining and well logging, to identify minerals in the rock, and neutrons are used to manufacture radio active isotopes, some of which are used in cancer treatment and for bone scanns. A powerful source of neutrons can even be used to break down the long lived radio active waste that is accumulating around the world. So a powerful fusion reactor can be useful even it uses more energy than it produces.
